rub-a-dub-dub

Last week Ryder's belly button finally fell off and that meant that it was finally bath time! He loved every part of his bath. Tyler thought that he would hate taking a bath, but Ryder proved him wrong. I can't wait until he can splash around and play with all of his bath toys. That will be a fun time for sure.

this. is. so. cool.

peek-a-boo!

a moment in time...

a post of something random that doesn't need explaining.
it's just simply a moment in time

DaddyCam

every once and while daddy likes to try and be a photographer.
he sees all of the pictures that mommy takes and says 'i can do that!'

so far, daddy has learned that it's harder than it looks.
i think that he gets a E for effort.
babies are a tough crowd.

a moment in time...

this is when i post just something random that doesn't need explaining. it's just simply a moment in time.

mr. bear's debut

on an earlier post, i mentioned Ryder's best bear friend. he has come to be known as mr. bear around here.

Ryder will lay in his crib and stare at this bear forever. he squeaks and moans at him. i swear this bear must be the world's most interesting bear.

i imagine them conversing for hours. shooting the shit like they both meet at the neighborhood bar on a weekly basis. Ryder's drink of choice is milk, while mr. bear prefers something a bit more stiff, apple juice. they exchange ideas and talk philosophically. at the end of the night, they both agree to meet there again. same time. same place.

the magical mr. bear.

the little boy that's mesmerized by mr. bear.
it's the start of a beautiful friendship.

week one photos

i will probably remain a week behind with posting these weekly photos, but my goal is to stay as up to date as possible. here are some pictures from our first week photo shoot. i got some real adorable ones!

one week.

yay!

i'm very suspicious of this.

no more mommy!

i said no more.

1.5 weeks

welp, Ryder is finally here! actually he has been here for about a week and half, but whose counting? life with him has been beyond great and we couldn't have asked for a better baby.

he arrived on October 28th around 9 p.m...i think. {i actually don't remember the time of birth. i was completely out of it and barely remember much from that night, which is probably a huge blessing.} he was 7 pounds 12 ounces and 20.5 inches long.

right now, he is so easy going and only cries during a diaper changing. he has begun to sleep 4 hours at a time during the night and be up more during the day. he hates being swaddled and loves to move his hands and arms all around. he enjoys his binky and especially loves it after eating a nice, big meal.

he will entertain himself while laying in his 'crib' or when he is chilling in his bouncer. he already has a best bear friend that we swear he has full conversations with telepathically. he can lay there for hours just staring at that bear. the other crib friends go unnoticed, but this bear is obviously special.

here are some pictures that pretty much sums up our last 2 weeks.

{yawn!}

he is a man of many faces.

this Sunday, after the Broncos won.
{a proud day for daddy}

it's been a great two weeks, minus the drama of the birth and the hospital stay that i am choosing to forget. one day we will rehash the story, but for now, we focus on our little baby boy.
