rainy day fun.

the other morning we woke up to a cloudy day and it was pretty exciting. during our morning play time it started raining. ryder hasn't been around rain a lot and this was the first time he has seen it since he has been more aware of his surroundings. once he started raining he crawled over to the door and looked out to see what was going on. he sat there for a while watching puddles form and surfaces get slick with rain. i, of course, being the mom that i am, caught a photo of this curious time. then, again being the mom that i am, had some fun of my own with a photo app on my phone. i think it's a pretty accurate portrayal of what he was thinking at the time. ;]

happy 6 months!

the little one is now 6 months. that's really crazy to think about. he is half way to a year old! 

at six months he is crawling and sitting up {hitting his head lots too}. he enjoys looking out windows and car/stroller/flying around the house rides of all kinds. that one is a thrill seeker. he is trying to pull himself up on things, but has yet to be successful {thankfully}. he loves cartoons, music and playing peek-a-boo. he likes his board books, but gets frustrated that he can't turn the pages himself. he has quite the temper. watch out if a toy isn't doing what he wants it to. he loves to eat, which is nothing new, but now he has discovered carrots and he loves them. he also enjoys my green smoothies that i make for myself, but heaven forbid if i don't give him a couple of bites. he makes lots of sounds and clearly has something to say. when he can talk {hopefully not for a while}, he probably won't ever be quiet. he is a silly, fun-loving, sweet boy and the next 6 months will be all the more fun!

Sick week

This week has been the first time that Ryder has been sick. We have taken advantage of cartoons, naps and Mommy being home from work. It has been both a good and a long week. I hate seeing my little one sick, but I am thankful that this is the first time he has been sick and he is almost 6 months old. That's pretty fantastic.

week seven photos

this weeks pictures show a ton of personality from this little man. this week he just improved upon his skills from the previous weeks. he rolled over again from tummy to back and 'talked' constantly.
